Zgodnie z zapowiedziami Huragan Florence do uderzył w Karolinę Północną na wschodnim wybrzeżu USA powodując liczne podtopienia, zalania, a także zniszczenia budynków i infrastruktury.
Niestety jest to dopiero początek problemów, bo centrum huraganu dopiero zbliża się do lądu. Po wejściu nad ląd huragan zwolni i wówczas największym ryzykiem będą ulewne opady, które spowodują powodzie. Na szczęście dzięki ewakuacjom nie ma na razie ofiar.
