Sześć osób zginęło w środę w katastrofie pociągu pasażerskiego na moście Storebaelt, łączącym duńskie wyspy Fionia i Zelandia – podała duńska agencja informacyjna Ritzau. Policja prowadzi ewakuację podróżnych; są oni przewożeni do hali sportowej Nyborg.
Duńskie media poinformowały, że plandeka z pociągu towarowego przewożącego partię piwa uderzyła w pociąg pasażerski, jadący w przeciwnym kierunku, co spowodowało, że musiał gwałtownie hamować.
Do wypadku przyczynił się pustoszący Skandynawię i zmierzający nad Polskę huragan Alfrida. Do wypadku doszło około godziny 7.30.
